This year has been nothing if not life altering. From building a home, to leaving a career, it's been an interesting, wildly stressful but ultimately liberating process.
Last winter my family and I were given the amazing opportunity to partner with close friends in gutting and redesigning, what is essentially, our dream home. Along with the best contractor around, we formed a team unlike any I've ever experienced, where nothing strange or experimental was off the table. We hacked affordable solutions to wild ideas and tested out things that could have, but thankfully didn't, go horribly wrong. We moved in this May, and while there are endless little things that will never seem done, it is nearing completion. Once a few more of those little things are checked off the list we will have the home professionally photographed but for now here's some phone snap shots of the process, from gutted hole to (nearly) complete.
More pictures soon :~)
